[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] Do you want to ask any questions?	[ Śrīla Narayana Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] ¿Quieres hacer alguna pregunta?
[Elderly lady:] I don't know what to ask.	[Señora mayor:] No sé qué preguntar.
What organisation is this?	¿Qué organización es esta?
[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] Bhūdhara prabhu can answer.	[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] Bhūdhara prabhu puede responder.
[Bhūdhara dāsa:] There is very little organisation actually. This is all happening by God's grace. This is Śrīla Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja. He is a teacher and a guru, and he lives in Mathura, India. He is a scholar and a writer, and he gives lectures. Many people come and listen to him talk about God, as well as high topics about God. He talks about how one can develop love and affection for God, and love and affection for our fellow man. He talks about how to live in peace and harmony, and eventually, at the end of this life, go back to God.	[Bhūdhara dāsa:] En realidad, hay muy poca organización. Todo sucede por la gracia de Dios. Este es Śrīla Bhaktivedānta Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja. Es un maestro y gurú, y vive en Mathura, India. Es un erudito y escritor, y da conferencias. He has come to America, and we have been taking him from city to city. We have been in Washington, New York, Houston, and now Los Angeles; and after this we are going to San Francisco. We are inviting people to come and have some exchange with him, to ask him questions, and to learn about this science called Kṛṣṇa consciousness. Have you heard about Hare Kṛṣṇa?	¿Has oído hablar de Hare Krishna?
[Elder lady:] Yes, I think I was in a place like this some years back. His picture was on the wall.	[Señora mayor:] Sí, creo que estuve en un lugar así hace algunos años. Su foto estaba en la pared.
[Devotee:] You've seen pictures of Kṛṣṇa?	[Devoto:] ¿Has visto imágenes de Krishna?
[Elder lady:] There were flowers, fruits, and a handkerchief on the alter.	[Señora mayor:] Había flores, frutas y un pañuelo en el altar.
Do you know the symbolic meaning of this?	¿Conoces el significado simbólico de esto?
[Bhūdhara dāsa:] These are simple offerings of love. In the Bhagavad-Gita, Kṛṣṇa says:	[Bhūdhara dāsa:] Estas son sencillas ofrendas de amor. En el Bhagavad-Gita, Kṛṣṇa dice:
“If you offer Me something with love and devotion, like a flower, some vegetable, or some fruit or water, I will accept it.”	“Si me ofrecéis algo con amor y devoción, como una flor, alguna verdura, alguna fruta o agua, lo aceptaré.”
[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] We see that there is no difference between God and Kṛṣṇa. It’s the same idea. Kṛṣṇa is very merciful. If you pray to Him and glorify Him by any song, or by any word, He will hear and He will be pleased. You can pray:	[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] Vemos que no hay diferencia entre Dios y Kṛṣṇa. Es la misma idea. Kṛṣṇa es muy misericordioso. Si le oras y lo glorificas con cualquier canto o con cualquier palabra, Él te escuchará y se complacerá. Puedes orar:
“Oh God, You are so merciful.”	“Oh Dios, eres tan misericordioso.”
[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja sings, and the devotees join in:]	[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja canta y los devotos se unen:]
Hare Kṛṣṇa Hare Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Hare Hare, Hare Rāma Hare Rāma Rāma Rāma Hare Hare.	Hare Kṛṣṇa Hare Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Hare Hare, Hare Rāma Hare Rāma Rāma Rāma Hare Hare.
[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] This means:	[Śrīla Narayana Goswami Maharaj:] Esto significa:
“O Supreme Personality of Godhead, You are so merciful. You have given me this human body, intelligence, a heart so soft and full of love and affection. I want to serve You eternally, so please be merciful to me.”	«¡Oh, Suprema Personalidad de Dios, eres tan misericordioso! Me has dado este cuerpo humano, inteligencia, un corazón tan tierno y lleno de amor y afecto. Quiero servirte eternamente, así que, por favor, ten misericordia de mí.»
[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja sings again, and the devotees join in:]	[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja canta de nuevo y los devotos se unen:]
“Govinda Dāmodara Mādhaveti, Govinda Dāmodara Mādhaveti, Govinda Dāmodara Mādhaveti, Govinda Dāmodara Mādhaveti.”	“Govinda Damodara Madhaveti, Govinda Damodara Madhaveti, Govinda Damodara Madhaveti, Govinda Damodara Madhaveti”.
[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] When we are dying, when we are on our death-bed, there is no one to help us. We are not even able to take a breath. We are full of mucus and we want to take a breath, but we cannot. We want to move our hands from here to there, but we cannot do so. We cannot do anything. At that time we pray:	[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] Cuando estamos muriendo, cuando estamos en nuestro lecho de muerte, no hay nadie que nos ayude. Ni siquiera podemos respirar. Estamos llenos de mucosidad y queremos respirar, pero no podemos. Queremos mover las manos de aquí para allá, pero no podemos. No podemos hacer nada. En ese momento oramos:
“Oh God, You are so merciful. Be pleased with me; sprinkle Your mercy upon me. Take me to Your eternal abode, where I will serve You.”	«Oh Dios, eres tan misericordioso. Ten piedad de mí; derrama tu misericordia sobre mí. Llévame a tu morada eterna, donde te serviré.»
We want to be free from becoming old and again taking birth in this miserable world. There is so much pain at the time of birth, and there is so much pain at the time of death; so we must pray to God. He is everywhere. He is in everyone and in all atoms of the world. He hears whatever you utter. When you weep and sing and glorify Him, He will at once hear you and come to you and liberate you forever.	Queremos liberarnos del envejecimiento y del renacimiento en este mundo miserable. Hay tanto dolor al nacer y tanto dolor al morir; por eso debemos orar a Dios. Él está en todas partes. Está en todos y en cada átomo del mundo. Él escucha todo lo que dices. Cuando lloras, cantas y lo glorificas, Él te escucha al instante, viene a ti y te libera para siempre.
We never pray to Kṛṣṇa, the Supreme Personality of Godhead:	Nunca oramos a Kṛṣṇa, la Suprema Personalidad de Dios:
“God, give me bread and butter.”	“Dios, dame pan con mantequilla.”
Rather, we want to serve Him with bread and butter. We want that this chain of birth and death and suffering will be stopped forever.	Más bien, queremos servirle con pan y mantequilla. Queremos que esta cadena de nacimientos, muertes y sufrimiento se detenga para siempre.
This body is not myself. It is something like a garment. The body is covered with a garment, and it is also like a garment. One day, when we become old, we will have to give up this garment. Surely, we will have to do so.	Este cuerpo no soy yo. Es como una prenda. El cuerpo está cubierto por una prenda, y también es como una prenda. Un día, cuando envejezcamos, tendremos que desprendernos de esta prenda. Sin duda, tendremos que hacerlo.
What is God?	¿Qué es Dios?
What is the soul?	¿Qué es el alma?
You can realise this only in this human body; otherwise it is not possible. If you are an animal, a tree, a creeper, or an insect, you cannot realise this; you cannot understand all these truths. You can understand something only in this human body. You have some intelligence given by the Lord, so try to use it.	Solo en este cuerpo humano puedes comprender esto; de lo contrario, es imposible. Si eres un animal, un árbol, una enredadera o un insecto, no puedes comprenderlo; no puedes entender todas estas verdades. Solo en este cuerpo humano puedes entender algo. El Señor te ha dado cierta inteligencia, así que procura usarla.
Also, don't kill animals and eat their flesh and eggs. If you do, your mind and heart will become like them. If you eat the flesh of hogs and pigs, your mentality and heart will become like them. Your nature will be changed to be like them.	Además, no mates animales ni comas su carne ni sus huevos. Si lo haces, tu mente y tu corazón se volverán como los de ellos. Si comes la carne de cerdos, tu mentalidad y tu corazón se volverán como los de ellos. Tu naturaleza se transformará para asemejarse a la de ellos.
What is the meaning of meat?	¿Qué significa carne?
ME-EAT. If you eat meat, that animal will come as a human and eat you. So don't take meat, eggs, and other bad things. God has given fruits, milk, butter, curd, and so many other nice foodstuffs. Personally, I have never taken meat, eggs, or wine in my entire life.	COMER. Si comes carne, ese animal vendrá como humano y te comerá. Así que no consumas carne, huevos ni otras cosas malas. Dios nos ha dado frutas, leche, mantequilla, cuajada y muchos otros alimentos deliciosos. Personalmente, nunca he consumido carne, huevos ni vino en toda mi vida.
If you want to be pure to serve God, then you must follow this. There is only one religion. That religion is natural, and that natural religion is love and affection to God and everyone. Even a dog, a lion, a bear, and a tiger have love for their wife and children. Although they may eat the flesh of others, they have love for their families. To love is natural for all. Trees also love; they want to love each other.	Si deseas ser puro para servir a Dios, debes seguir esto. Solo existe una religión. Esa religión es natural, y esa religión natural es el amor y el afecto hacia Dios y hacia todos. Incluso un perro, un león, un oso y un tigre aman a su esposa e hijos. Aunque puedan comer la carne de otros, aman a sus familias. Amar es natural para todos. Los árboles también aman; desean amarse entre sí.
How?	¿Cómo?
Little creepers love trees and embrace them.	A los pequeños trepadores les encantan los árboles y los abrazan.
If you touch a tree’s leaf as though caressing it, the tree will be very happy. If you take a knife to cut the branches, the tree will be scared. It will tremble. If you tell a dog:	Si tocas la hoja de un árbol como si la acariciaras, el árbol estará muy contento. Si tomas un cuchillo para cortar las ramas, el árbol se asustará. Temblará. Si le dices a un perro:
“Come on, come on,”	“Vamos, vamos”
he will come. And if you are mean, then the dog will attack you. So, our nature – the nature of the soul – is love.	Él vendrá. Y si eres malo, el perro te atacará. Así pues, nuestra naturaleza —la naturaleza del alma— es el amor.
We should practice this at home. We should love our mother and father, for they have done so many things for us. We should love our wife and children; not divorcing each other twenty or thirty times.	Debemos practicar esto en casa. Debemos amar a nuestros padres, pues han hecho mucho por nosotros. Debemos amar a nuestra esposa e hijos, y no divorciarnos veinte o treinta veces.
If you have love, it may be gradually transferred to God. If you have no love and you are always quarrelling, you cannot have the mercy of God. We should try to discover this love in our heart, and try to practice chanting the holy names:	Si tienes amor, este puede transferirse gradualmente a Dios. Si no tienes amor y siempre estás peleando, no puedes tener la misericordia de Dios. Debemos intentar descubrir este amor en nuestro corazón y practicar el canto de los santos nombres.
Hare Kṛṣṇa Hare Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Hare Hare, Hare Rāma Hare Rāma Rāma Rāma Hare Hare.	Hare Kṛṣṇa Hare Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Kṛṣṇa Hare Hare, Hare Rāma Hare Rāma Rāma Rāma Hare Hare.
All the names of Kṛṣṇa are the embodiment of love. ‘Hare’ is the embodiment of love. ‘Kṛṣṇa’ is very charming and beautiful, and He is the embodiment of love. ‘Rāma’ is the embodiment of love. If you are in touch with this love, your life will be happy; otherwise it is not possible. If a man is always cruel to others, he cannot be happy.	Todos los nombres de Krishna son la personificación del amor. «Liebre» es la personificación del amor. «Krishna» es encantador y hermoso, y Él es la personificación del amor. «Rama» es la personificación del amor. Si estás en contacto con este amor, tu vida será feliz; de lo contrario, no es posible. Si un hombre siempre es cruel con los demás, no puede ser feliz.
[Elderly lady:] Do you believe in reincarnation?	[Señora mayor:] ¿Cree usted en la reencarnación?
[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] We see that two children take birth at exactly the same time, but one has no backbone, no intelligence, and eyes that cannot see. The other child is born as the son of President Clinton or a very rich person.	[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] Vemos que dos niños nacen exactamente al mismo tiempo, pero uno no tiene columna vertebral, ni inteligencia, y sus ojos no pueden ver. El otro niño nace como hijo del presidente Clinton o de una persona muy rica.
Why are there such differences?	¿Por qué existen tales diferencias?
In India, and also in Western countries, some people remember their past life. There are many examples of this.	En India, y también en países occidentales, algunas personas recuerdan su vida pasada. Hay muchos ejemplos de ello.
So, we believe in reincarnation. If you don't believe in this, all your ideas will be illogical.	Por lo tanto, creemos en la reencarnación. Si no crees en esto, todas tus ideas serán ilógicas.
Why is one person very intelligent?	¿Por qué una persona es muy inteligente?
why is one so unintelligent that he is like a donkey?	¿Por qué hay alguien tan poco inteligente que se comporta como un burro?
Why is one person very beautiful and one is not beautiful at all?	¿Por qué una persona es muy bella y otra no lo es en absoluto?
The philosophy of reincarnation answers these questions. There are so many reasons to believe this.	La filosofía de la reencarnación responde a estas preguntas. Hay muchísimas razones para creer en ello.
[Devotee:] Couldn't you say that because the father or mother are beautiful, the child will be beautiful?	[Devoto:] ¿No podrías decir que, porque el padre o la madre son hermosos, el niño también lo será?
[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] We see many fathers and mothers who are very beautiful, but their sons or daughters have crooked teeth, or ugly faces, or no bones; or eyes that cannot see. The soul is immortal, but he has adopted this material position by forgetting God and by the subsequent touch of māyā, illusion.	[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] Vemos muchos padres y madres muy hermosos, pero sus hijos o hijas tienen dientes torcidos, o rostros feos, o no tienen huesos; o no ven. El alma es inmortal, pero ha adoptado esta condición material al olvidar a Dios y por el consiguiente contacto con māyā, la ilusión.
Why is a person in jail. He has done something wrong. Similarly, we are now in jail – the jail of the deluding energy called māyā. We are being crushed by māyā.	¿Por qué una persona está en la cárcel? Porque ha cometido un delito. De igual modo, nosotros también estamos en la cárcel, la cárcel de la energía engañosa llamada māyā. māyā nos está aplastando.
If you realise this fact, you will at once pray to God:	Si te das cuenta de este hecho, inmediatamente orarás a Dios:
"Save me. Save me."	"Sálvame. Sálvame."
Have you heard of the Vedas?	¿Has oído hablar de los Vedas?
They are very old scriptures. These facts are written in the Vedic scriptures, and we realise this.	Son escrituras muy antiguas. Estos hechos están escritos en las escrituras védicas, y somos conscientes de ello.
[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] Is my mother hearing all these things?	[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] ¿Mi madre está escuchando todas estas cosas?
You are like my mother.	Eres como mi madre.
[Elderly lady:] I am like your mother?	[Señora mayor:] ¿Soy como tu madre?
Yes, I hear you. I had a surgery some years ago.	Sí, te entiendo. Me operaron hace algunos años.
Do you know medical terms?	¿Conoces términos médicos?
[Bhūdhara dāsa:] No, he is a doctor of the soul, not the body.	[Bhūdhara dāsa:] No, él es un médico del alma, no del cuerpo.
[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] I had surgery too, so you are like me. You are my mother – the son and mother both had surgery.	[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] Yo también me operaron, así que eres como yo. Eres mi madre: tanto el hijo como la madre se operaron.
[Elderly lady:] Do you have a living mother?	[Señora mayor:] ¿Tiene usted madre viva?
[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] That mother has left this world, but there are so many mothers. I think that this young lady is also my mother, and you are too. All ladies are my mother. We think like this in India.	[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] Esa madre ha dejado este mundo, pero hay tantas madres. Creo que esta joven también es mi madre, y tú también. Todas las mujeres son mi madre. Así pensamos en la India.
[Elderly lady:] I am glad to have such a gracious son.	[Señora mayor:] Me alegra tener un hijo tan amable.
[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] Our relation should be eternal.	[Śrīla Narayana Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] Nuestra relación debe ser eterna.
[Elderly lady:] So we never die?	[Señora mayor:] ¿Entonces nunca morimos?
[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] No, I do not have to die, and I will teach you a trick so that you will also not die.	[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] No, no tengo que morir, y te enseñaré un truco para que tú tampoco mueras.
[Elderly lady:] What happens to those who die?	[Señora mayor:] ¿Qué les sucede a los que mueren?
What happens to their soul?	¿Qué le sucede a su alma?
[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] According to their activities, they will have to taste the fruits in their future birth. They will take birth again.	[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] Según sus acciones, tendrán que probar los frutos en su futuro nacimiento. Volverán a nacer.
[Elderly lady:] So we should go to the cemetery and pray to God to take their soul in His possession?	[Señora mayor:] ¿Entonces deberíamos ir al cementerio y rezarle a Dios para que tome sus almas en su poder?
[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] Yes, we want this. We are trying to help everyone, and that is why we perform kīrtana, congregational chanting of the holy name and fame of Kṛṣṇa. We chant “Hare Kṛṣṇa” so that even trees, animals, dogs, and even any person who doesn’t want to hear, can receive spiritual benefit. We chant, “Hare Kṛṣṇa” very loudly, so that the transcendental sound vibration will go everywhere. And we give some prasādam, remnants of food offered to God. This will help them.	[Śrīla Nārāyaṇa Gosvāmī Mahārāja:] Sí, queremos esto. Estamos tratando de ayudar a todos, y por eso realizamos kīrtana, el canto congregacional del santo nombre y la gloria de Kṛṣṇa. Cantamos “Hare Kṛṣṇa” para que incluso los árboles, los animales, los perros e incluso cualquier persona que no quiera escuchar, puedan recibir el beneficio espiritual. Cantamos “Hare Kṛṣṇa” muy fuerte, para que la vibración sonora trascendental llegue a todas partes. Y damos algo de prasādam, restos de comida ofrecida a Dios. Esto les ayudará.

The story now is going towards the past when Nar and Narayan go in deep meditation in the Himalayas. Due to their piousness and deep meditation, the throne of Indra is in trouble. Indra wants to break the Samadhi or meditation of them. Hence, he sends his beautiful apsaras to attract towards them and break the meditation.

When the meditation is broken, Nar sees the apsaras, he creates one much beautiful and elegant from his thigh. This is how the most beautiful apasara of Lord Indra takes birth. He names her as Urvashi and tells them to take her as his gift to Indra and again goes in meditation.

The Nar and Narayan are the future Krishna and Arjun in their next rebirths.

La historia se remonta al pasado cuando Nar y Narayan meditan profundamente en el Himalaya. Debido a su devoción y profunda meditación, el trono de Indra se ve amenazado. Indra quiere romper su samadhi o meditación. Por ello, envía sus hermosas apsaras para atraerlas e interrumpir la meditación.

Cuando la meditación se interrumpe, Nar ve las apsaras y crea una aún más hermosa y elegante de su muslo. Así nace la más hermosa apasara del Señor Indra. Él la nombra Urvashi y les dice que la lleven como regalo a Indra, y de nuevo medita.

Nar y Narayan representan a los futuros Krishna y Arjun en sus próximos renacimientos.
